IMPORTANT: Participants are strictly forbidden to consult any reference book, the internet or receive assistance of any kind from another person or any source whatsoever. If a participant breaks this rule, he is cheating himself along with everyone else; if the organiser has any suspicions whatsoever, the participant will be disqualified. A member's participation in this Quiz will be taken as a pledge to abide by this rule in full and without any deviation.
The competition is open to all Temple Fortune FC REGISTERED PLAYERS at 20th September 2015, who have been automatically entered into the draw which was made on Monday 21st September by the organiser, Nigel Kyte. All participants MUST be paid-up members of TFFC prior to 1st October 2015 or will be withdrawn.

Participants have been paired off in the round-by-round table below and will be emailed a link to 15 multiple-choice questions on the date indicated. The onus is then on the participant to take part and submit his answers – including a tie-break answer – as directed by midnight on the deadline date. His tally of correct answers will be matched against the score of his opponent and the person with the highest points will progress into the next round.

Should someone not bother to submit an entry by the deadline stipulated, his score will be recorded as nil; if both players in any one tie do not enter, one will progress by a toss of a coin.
If two participants who submit entries are level on points, the tie-break will come into operation. The competition will continue with paired-off ties until two progress to the Final.

A name coloured
GREEN denotes a Club Member who submitted answers; a name coloured RED denotes a Club Member who has forfeited the right to win the membership discount for season 2016/17 by not submitting answers.

You will find the start dates and deadline dates below under each specific round. All admin regarding the quiz will be conducted by email but the results will feature below, so please keep following the competition's progress via this page. Please take note of the round dates at the bottom. Full competition rules appear at the bottom of the page. Good luck!

COMPETITION RULES
1. The competition is open to all Temple Fortune Football Club Members registered for league participation by 20th September 2015. Any individual on the Club's membership or registration list who owes the Club money for any reason whatsoever, or who has a poor disciplinary record, will forfeit the right of participation.
2. The competition will be run on a knock-out basis, with participants being drawn into ties initially and paired off in all subsequent rounds. Participants must submit answers as instructed within the time stipulated. Advance notice will be given via e-mail regarding the timing of each round.
3. Each round will close at midnight on the Tuesday stipulated and replies will not be accepted if submitted any later.
4. One point will be awarded for each correct answer and the participant scoring the higher number of points will proceed into the next round. A tie-break question will be included prior to the semi-final.
5. Any participant failing to reply by midnight on the day of the round in question will score zero points. In the event of both participants in one tie failing to respond by the deadline, the tie will be determined by the drawing of lots by the Organiser (shown by a 1-0 result in the table above).
6. Any reply received which fails to give clear answers to each question, or gives ambiguous answers, or more than one answer to a question, or is deemed to be unsporting or against the spirit of the competition in any way, may be declared null and void in which case the score for that particular participant's round will count as zero points. In the most serious of cases, the participant will be disqualified.
7. Results of each round will be displayed on the Club's website within one week, time permitting.
8. In rounds prior to the semi-final, if two participants score the same number of points, the tie-break will determine the winner, the nearest figure to the correct answer being the deciding factor. If the tie-break is equal, the match will be replayed. (TB) alongside a person's name indictates a win on the tie-break.
9. In the Semi-final, if two participants score the same number of points, a replay will be held. If the replay is drawn, the tie-break will come into operation. In the Final, if two participants score the same number of points, the higher number of correct answers from all rounds will determine the winner.
10. Participants are strictly forbidden to consult any reference book, the internet or receive assistance of any kind from another person or any source whatsoever. If a participant breaks this rule, he is cheating himself along with everyone else; if the Organiser has any suspicions whatsoever, the participant will be disqualified. A member's participation in this Quiz will be taken as a pledge to abide by this rule in full and without any deviation.
11. The Organiser is not obliged to enter into e-mailing correspondence unless it is deemed necessary to respond to a point of relevance which would affect the competition; this will be at his discretion.
12. All questions regarding interpretation of these competition rules, or of any point not provided for by these rules, shall be referred to the Organiser whose decision shall be final and binding on all concerned.
