PLAYER OF THE YEAR AND CLUBMAN OF THE YEAR
AWARDS, SEASON 2020/21
|
This is YOUR opportunity to have a say in the PLAYER OF THE YEAR and CLUBMAN OF THE YEAR Awards for 2020/21. There are separate Awards for Temple Fortune's First Team and Old Boys Team, although this form is for the OLD BOYS TEAM ONLY this season.
Please read the following information ignoring it could prevent you from winning a Club Award this season. Because we require as many Full Members (and eligible 200 Club/Honorary Members) to take part as possible, voting in the ballots is compulsory this season. If a Full or 200 Club/Honorary Member chooses not to vote, then he will automatically be ineligible to win any of the Awards. Casual Members (or non-members) including any player who joined AFTER the lockdown resumption cannot participate in the voting nor can they win either Award.
Please read on and follow the instructions carefully.

HOW DO THE AWARDS DIFFER?
|
The best way to define the difference between the Awards is that the Player of the Year does it ON THE FIELD of play, whilst the Clubman of the Year does it OFF THE FIELD of play! You can vote for any Full or Honorary member named in the List of Nominations.
|
WHAT IS THERE TO CONSIDER?
|
PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Footballing ability, skill, effort, consistency, general performances, motivation, enthusiasm, sportsmanship and general conduct. General co-operation with all off-the-field matters should NOT be considered for Player of the Year.
CLUBMAN OF THE YEAR: General co-operation with Team Secretaries, reliability, punctuality at meeting places and venues, paying subs promptly, helping with playing equipment, washing kit, always accepting team selection decisions, always adhering to Conditions of Membership. Footballing ability, skill and other on-the-field matters should NOT be considered for Clubman of the Year.
|
WHAT ARE THE BALLOT CONDITIONS? |
1. Only Full and 200 Club/Honorary Members of the Temple Fortune Football Club may participate in the ballots and be eligible to win any of the Awards. Any player joining the Club since the resumption after lockdown is ineligible to vote or be nominated. 2. Each eligible Member must participate in the voting subject to these conditions or be excluded as a potential Award winner. 3. To be eligible to win any TFFC Player of the Year Award, a participant must have played in, or watched, at least five matches for the First Team, Second Team or the Old Boys Team. 4. A participant must not vote for himself and must fill in appropriate names from the nominations list as directed; less than three entries per Award will render the voting form incomplete. Names may not be duplicated for the same Award. 5. Any form incorrectly filled in, completed by an ineligible person, left incomplete, returned using an unfamiliar email address, returned to the wrong person, or returned after the deadline date will count as void.
