The Club repeated the event held a year previously although on this occasion two one-hour games were played on the 3G pitch. In a stadium which had been developing over the course of the 2015/16 season, a TFFC Founders' Cup decider was held between the Old Boys XI and Peter Kyte's Founders' XI, which the Old Boys won 2–0. The result was enough to give the Founders' XI the Shield for the very first time. This was followed by the First XI playing the Old Boys XI for the Jack Kyte Challenge Cup, with the Firsts narrowly winning 4–3. Ken Goldman, a long serving referee who had announced his retirement from Maccabi football, refereed the game.
Once the players had changed, everyone met up in the Hendon FC clubhouse where food and drink awaited those attending. Maccabi Masters League Chairman Stuart Lustigman, who had played in both games, and Co-Founder Peter Kyte then preceded to present the trophies and awards.
